Chapter Philanthropy

Chapter Philanthropy

Recently, the Mu Chapter was recognized in a publication put out by our National Headquarters as one of the top fundraising chapters for the Tri Sigma Foundation in the nation. Sigma Sigma Sigma proudly works with The Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation to support the March of Dimes and The Robbie Page Memorial Fund

Mu Chapter hosts several events to raise money for the Foundation.

Our annual fall philanthropic event is Rock for Robbie. For one week, our members as well as others on campus who want to participate, rock in rocking chairs on the University Quad for 24 hours a day. During their time rocking, members are encouraged to try and raise money for the Robbie Page Memorial Fund, as well as collect toys for children's hospitals. In 2015, we held our first Root Beer for Robbie fundraiser where we sold root beer floats to benefit the cause.

In the Spring of 2018 sisters Anna Salmo and Paige Neels founded a new event, Tri Hop! This is held annually and is an all-you-can-eat pancake event! This has been by-far one of our most successful philanthropy events!

All of our members are also dedicated volunteering around our campus and the Kirksville community. Outside contributions given by our members include volunteering at the Kirksville animal shelter, donating blood, cleaning up campus, volunteering at the Humane Society, and participating in Truman’s Big Event (a campus-wide service event). Our members are also active in supporting other organization's philanthropy events or community service opportunities!

You can find out more about Tri Sigma's partnership with Rock for Robbie and the March of Dimes on the National Website.
