Academics

Academics are a top priority for Tri Sigma. At a time when it was uncommon for females to attend college, our founders were on the forefront. They believed in the pursuit of wisdom and knowledge as a powerful and empowering goal, and created an organization that would offer women support for their intellectual endeavors.

Today, Tri Sigma remains committed to providing members with the resources they need to be their best. Our academic excellence focus is designed to grow with members throughout and beyond their college years, as their needs and areas of concern evolve.

Our chapter’s academic support program is self-customized by our members and advisors. Our chapter holds study sessions, provides mentoring members in the same major, individual tutoring, incentives for good grades and more. 

Our national organization and Tri Sigma Foundation are strong supporters to our commitment to academic excellence by awarding scholarships, fellowships and grants each year to sisters across the nation. These scholarships have been made possible through gifts, funds and bequests to Tri Sigma Foundation. Tri Sigmas are also given the opportunity to attend leadership and character development seminars and camps which are crucial to developing our Tri Sigma leaders.
